Early Years Play Area Transformation At Norton Infants

Norton Infants School has unveiled a stunning new Early Years outdoor area, and it’s a sight to behold! This innovative space is a testament to the power of play and the importance of outdoor learning.

A Watery Wonderland

One of the standout features of this outdoor area is the incredible water play zone. Imagine a water tower, controlled by the children themselves, cascading into a winding stream with adjustable water gates. The water then flows into a mesmerising waterfall, creating hours of endless fascination and fun.

A World of Adventure

The tunnel mound is a child’s dream, offering thrilling physical challenges as they climb, crawl, and slide their way through. The mini forest climber, with its adventurous trail, encourages children to develop their balance, coordination, and strength while exploring the great outdoors.

Imagination Unleashed

To spark creativity and role-play, the outdoor area features a mud kitchen, a multifunctional role-play hut, and an enchanting outdoor storytelling zone. These spaces inspire children to use their imaginations and engage in imaginative play.

What the Headteacher thinks!

“Our new Early Years outdoor play area is absolutely incredible. From the very start of the process when procuring designs and quotes, Playscheme listened to us, amended plans based on our ideas and needs and communicated with us throughout the whole design process. They also, importantly, kept within our budget!

The installation took place during the summer holidays which meant a great start to our new academic year. Alan Kitts, Special Projects Manager, is at the end of the phone or an email and checks in with us to make sure we are happy with things as the children play on the equipment. The quality of the equipment is superb and will last for many years to come. It is fit for purpose and copes with even the most extremes of weather.

Our children love the equipment and are having an amazing time developing skills and solving problems together.

We couldn’t be happier and recommend Playscheme to anyone wanting to upgrade or develop high quality outdoor play areas. One happy headteacher and school!”
