I've been with Playscheme since March 2010. I’m responsible for the management of our HR function, Health & Safety and ISO9001 Quality Management System.
As a family run firm my mum, dad and I have been blessed with the opportunity to employ and work with an amazing group of people. It's with thanks to those people that Playscheme is what it is today.
Being Managing Director, my role is to oversee all departments of Playscheme and ensure that the company runs smoothly and progressively.
We are lucky enough to be able to design, build and install play equipment for children and adults alike. Since starting Playscheme we've built everything from a balance beam right through to 9m Towers and fire breathing Viking boats.
My role is to oversee the management of the Company finances.
I have done the accounting since about 1995 when my husband John and eldest son Steve started making play equipment in our garage at home!
I started Playscheme with my son 25 years ago, working from my shed at home. Designs were drawn by hand and most of the equipment was handmade. Over the years we have grown and expanded into the company we are today. My role has changed from doing practically everything to specialising in sales and the running of the company. I’ve recently handed over the role of Managing Director to Steve.
The things I enjoy most about my job are my customers and the creative element from making and designing to inspiring imaginations. As a father I have found it a privilege to work with my son, which most people don’t get to experience. I’m proud of our family firm and family values.
As Director, my role is primarily Operations Management through every stage of the process. I manage from inception through to completion, ensuring we provide our customers with the very best experience and service possible.
Another key part of my job is to ensure we continually deliver innovative play solutions in the UK’s Public and Private sectors working with Clients, End Users, Contractors and Sub-Contractors.
I've been working at Playscheme since the dawn of time (2005 in fact!)
My role is to create and inspire through the medium of SketchUp, taking a sketch on a piece of paper and turning it into a digital 3D visualization.
When I'm not at work, I'm usually walking Rex, the hungry Labrador.
I have been working at Playscheme for 10 years.
My role at Playscheme is on the finance and accounts side, making sure all our suppliers are paid correctly and on time.
My role is to generate sales by attending exhibitions and following up enquiries.
I've been working at Playscheme since 2011 and in that time have been instrumental in securing our success in the Sport England Primary Spaces Projects.
I joined the Playscheme design team in September 2016. What I love about this role is that every single day is different, and brings a new challenge. As Head of Design my role is to ensure myself and the team design engaging, imaginative and bespoke playgrounds to the highest standard, whatever the budget.
Everybody works as team here, which allows us to bounce ideas off each other to ensure your scheme is perfect!
I joined Playscheme in March 2020. My role is to create bespoke, exciting and engaging playgrounds that are full of play value and build positive, lasting memories for children. I love that every project is different and tailored to the client’s requirements.
We really can build anything!
I joined Playscheme in July 2020 as Administrator to the Operations Team. My role is incredibly varied predominantly assisting our Operations Director in planning fabulous playgrounds, coordinating installations and providing customer documentation throughout this process.
I joined in September 2020, after completing university. I really enjoy my role at Playscheme and what could be a more fun thing to design, than a playground? Every day I am learning from the fantastic team I have around me and we are committed to providing the most amazing, bespoke playgrounds for our clients.
I look forward to progressively creating more and more imaginative spaces at Playscheme, ones that both children and adults can enjoy alike!
I work on technical documentation for the workshop and installation, providing a link between the design team and operations. My previous experience is in mechanical design for a variety of products including steel playground equipment, so this is an exciting opportunity to transfer my knowledge and 3D modelling skills to timber.
Outside of work you’ll likely find me running in the fells. Just before starting at Playscheme I completed the Bob Graham Round, a challenge to summit 42 Lake District peaks and return to Keswick within 24 hours.
I've worked at Playscheme since 2005. Over my time here I have learnt so many skills from my collegues. I love problem solving and employing solutions to help build exciting and bespoke products that children will enjoy for years to come.
Being Workshop Manager is a rewarding role, one that I enjoy on a daily basis. I help ensure all equipment is built to our high standards and is ready to leave for site on time.
