The Rope Swing is an established piece of team building equipment. The rope, once passed to a child, must then be used to swing across the platforms, but must then be swung back and forth between other team members so they can all cross. If communication or co-ordination is lost the rope will swing out of reach of either platform, failing the task. The rope is provided with a large knot to swing on and is detachable from the central beam to prevent unsupervised use.

The Rope Swing is designed so that the number of children can be increased making it more difficult for everyone to stay off the ground, on the landing platforms. Team work arises from helping team members off the rope onto platforms and co-ordinating a swinging order and keeping the rope from returning to an inactive position.
